MCD

My life in Mcdonald's Segamat begin on 9th December 2014. When I stepped in the restaurant, the condition is quite and calm because the customer level is low. My manager asked me to punch in and start doing my works. Kak Kiah was the first crew trainer that trained me and introduced me to all crews and all departments. I start learning about counter, kitchen and lobby department. As well as everybody knows, fast-food restaurant is the main selection restaurant that Malaysian people love to eat. Mcdonald’s are rarely quiet because 24hours customers always in and out. Day after day, I become experts in counter department. I learned how to smile, greet customers and how to face many types of people.

Usually the environment will be very busy and clumsy by 12pm to 3pm for lunch offer and 6pm to 9pm for dinner offer. We always put our patience on a high level because sometimes there are many types of customers and I hate the customer that want to cancel their orders at last minute. It might disturb our process of making the orders especially for kitchen crews.
I mainly work at night and late night shift. We release our stress and pressure after working time with cheer up our self by karaoke at the nearest karaoke box there and having a late night supper while chit-chatting at the mamak restaurant. Although the town had gone to sleep, we still enjoyed our late night supper because one of my friend loves to makes jokes.

On 18th January 2014, we had celebrated Mcdonald's Segamat Opening Day for the 18th anniversary. The lobby was decorated by balloons and rainbow ribbons. Many people came to the party and met Ronald. Ronald was friendly and very entertaining. He attracts us  by his weird actions. The organizer of the party also arranged many activities and I joined two of it. I got the third place in explorace game.  I successfully brought back many prizes and free breakfast meal coupons. I enjoyed the day and I swear I’will remember those moments forever...

Time is running so fast, after 5 months working there next I decided to resign and plan to further my studies. Its hard but I need to leave them although they are one of my great life-stories. I learned the hardness of finding money, how to manage times and money, how to handle problems and control situation, how to face society and why we need to respect other people. I miss my friends, I miss the environment there. I'm so glad and lucky of having thise experiences and got many friends. During this Eid Mubarak they came to my house during this Hari Raya Aidilfitri. Thankyou™
